Gay Marriage laws voted down in Australia this week, wake up Australia no one can ruin a marriage except the two people in it.

This week the two party system of my home country despite a groundswell of support for gay marriage voted no to legalizing it.

What’s your problem oz? is it the old bullshit argument  that if you legalize gay marriage it will destroy straight marriage? Let me sort that out quick, unless you come home from work mate and find your Sheila in bed with gay rights the only people that can screw your marriage is you.

 Whom I love and who I want to spend the rest of my life with is none of your business and cannot affect your life in any way shape or form what is it to you who I sleep with. Stop hiding behind religion and your fear that every time you leave the house your wife is blowing the milkman, if she is deal with it blame her and divorce the cow.

Stop the bullshit excuse of blaming everything from herpes to the atomic bomb on the gay community. Despite it being the human right thing to do, and  it will grant over 1300 legal rights to a couple they are  currently deprived of because they can’t marry?

some of those rights are

Inheritance

The right to claim the body of a spouse and have them interred or cremated according to their wishes. A (post operative transgender friend when claimed by the family was dressed as a man for the open casket and the head stone was in her masculine birth name not her feminine legal name.)

To be present in the hospital room during dangerous surgery and their loved ones  last moments.

To keep custody of children adopted by the other during their life together but were only in the deceased partners name.

During divorce even though you payed equal share of the mortgage if the house was in your partners name you get nothing because the court does not recognise your relationship.

I personally have had no contact with my family for almost 30 years, but if I died tomorrow and still lived in Adelaide they would inherit everything leaving my beloved with nothing THIS IS WRONG.

If you’re just a mercenary bastard look at this, if every gay got married and

bought a license

held a wedding

hired cars

Hired suits or bought wedding dresses and brides maid and best men attire

 bought flowers

  hired a caterer

went on an expensive honey moon

sold two dwellings and pay tax on the sales and then bought a larger more expensive home to share

  Pay taxes together

If this was allowed to happen because we were allowed to marry, we could solve a huge chunk of the financial debt of any country brave enough to stand up for the rights of the gay community.

Find out the average cost of all the expenditure above then times it by half the gay community and see the dollar signs. if it takes dollar signs for us to gain basic decent human rights what ever as long as we can wake up next to the ones we love for ever.
