13-YR-OLD GIRL STILL MISSING IN NORTH CAROLINA! Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for Kiley Hegger, 13, who went missing on Monday, March 4th, 2013 at a…pproximately 11:00 p.m. Hegger is 5-feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has blue eyes and red hair. Police said her family is extremely concerned about her.
Family and friends held a vigil Wednesday night for a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for two days.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say Kiley Hegger disappeared from her South Charlotte home Monday night.
Kiley’s parents told WBTV she was tucked into bed around 11 p.m. Fifteen minutes later, they heard a strange noise and went to check on her.
A bathroom window was open, and Kiley was gone.
Police are searching for Kiley, and say they are investigating the disappearance as a missing persons case. They told WBTV they believe the girl may have run away.
Her family thinks there is more to the story.
“She’s a naïve, young little girl that has a lot of living to do. And she just needs to come home with her family,” Kiley’s grandmother, Gina Hegger, told WBTV Wednesday.
Kiley, who is a sixth-grade student at United Faith Christian Academy, celebrated her thirteenth birthday over the weekend. Her family says she was excited about her volleyball tryout on Tuesday.
“She was at our house on Monday. She said “Papaw, I’m getting ready to try out for volleyball tomorrow,” and she was all excited about it,” said her grandfather Gary Hegger.
