Huge congratulations to ‪#‎MalalaYousafzai‬ and Kailash Satyarthi for winning the ‪#‎NobelPeacePrize‬!

‪‎Malala‬ is now the youngest winner of this prize ever. Our Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka: “Malala’s staunch and fearless advocacy has amplified the voices of girls who might otherwise remain unheard. She knows that a full education is essential for girls to flourish and participate as equals in life. More than that, as they grow to their full potential in society, their voices, participation and leadership are crucial elements in economic prosperity, inclusive societies, and sustainable peace and security. Empowered girls like Malala are the best drivers of growth, the best hope for reconciliation in conflict, and the best buffer against the radicalization of youth and the repetition of cycles of violence.” Read her full statement: ‪#‎dayofthegirl‬

I am a disabled woman who through no fault of my own has wheels under my ass. I rely on the decency and common sense of local, state and federal goverments, as well as the retail community to abide by the disabled access laws and provide adequate ramps, disabled toilets, and not use them as store rooms or broom closets. This blog exists to find the offenders and out them, inform them, and report them if necessary and shame them into doing the right thing when all else fails.
