The Green radish vegan organic food truck honest quality in a world full of plastic food.

Below is a open letter from the amazing founder and chef of the vegan organic food truck the  Green radish.
As well as the Disabilities I have that are on the outside that can be seen, I live with a complete dangerous inability to digest any animal based food.
So surviving the newyork food scene with my problems Is a daily fight, but from the day I met the caring hardworking uber talented crew of the green radish I knew I had struck gold.

I am a chef and know when a chef is phoning it in and when he lives for his craft so much he would do it for nothing, and the owner of the Green radish is definitely the latter and damn proud of it. kudos to you my friend, you making living a caring earth loving life just that much easier and you have in Ella zeus and I  fans and customers for life.

211 Tickets and Counting…

So it’s a little more then a year and I am pleased to report that the food truck business is brutal, but I love it! Everyday is a test of not one, but all of your abilities: daily 4am wakeup calls; driving what used to be a Fed Ex truck; parking squirmishes that sometimes forge meaningful connections, and mostly don’t; tickets, tickets, and more tickets—thank you NYC; months of snow—what a way to start a business; evening prep; lack of sleep, sometimes, no sleep; navigating social media—so I’m a little obsessed, and I find myself on facebook, twitter, instagram tumbler,, food, and no, I don’t have a leg to stand on when I tell my 9 year old to get off his ipad; pleasing customers—“yes, this food really is non GMO organic”; coaxing maximum flavor without my former arsenal of sugar, bad fat and more sugar, and last but not least, being a total gear head—can you patch a 100 gallon diesel tank sans help? A Chef in a restaurant wears many hats, but a food truck Chef, wow………. It probably would be more lucrative to be vegetarian and appeal to more people, but I won’t do it. I’d rather be proud of the project, be #PlantBased, Animal Cruelty Free and make less of a profit. The Green Radish is Vegan-Organic and here for you! Keep up your support—it means everything!

I am a disabled woman who through no fault of my own has wheels under my ass. I rely on the decency and common sense of local, state and federal goverments, as well as the retail community to abide by the disabled access laws and provide adequate ramps, disabled toilets, and not use them as store rooms or broom closets. This blog exists to find the offenders and out them, inform them, and report them if necessary and shame them into doing the right thing when all else fails.
