“Just because you have a service dog and know people with them doesn’t give you the right to harass people”

The title above was posted by a blogger who calls themselves “Tokijin” in their second reply to my story on bareburger and their illegal act of throwing zeus and I out of their restaurant?
The statement above was in reply to my statement that if they don’t like one servie dog I’ll arrange for 100 to show up every day?
Well Tokijin it’s not harassment because it’s law and here’s why
The law says anywhere a human can go a service dog is allowed by law to accompany< so it is therefore illegal for a restaurant to refuse any number of dis or otherwise abled people because of their service dogs?
So to the restaurant in the story, if a group of 50 or 100 dis or otherwise abled citizens with their legal service dogs were to show up as long as the fire regulations allow that many seated customers THEY CANNNOT REFUSE
So Tokijin-san what you call harassment we in the dis and otherwise abled community call legally going out for dinner or lunch, and Under the Americans with disabilities act the bareburber managers only legal response is “WELCOME TO BAREBURGER”

So you hurry up and tell me I’m harassing again, but I know Group of southern belles down charleston way with their service dogs, and one amazing service dog trainer who wouldn’t hesitate to invade the dining area of any restaurant who tried the same bullshit bareburgers manager pulled and they and I are not alone. Through my advocacy network I have recieved hundreds of similiar stories and also offers to be part of a service dog flash mob to show they these abusers the error of their ways, but you keep being ignorant because your ignorance and that of the other abusers is the fuel to our rebellion.

I am a disabled woman who through no fault of my own has wheels under my ass. I rely on the decency and common sense of local, state and federal goverments, as well as the retail community to abide by the disabled access laws and provide adequate ramps, disabled toilets, and not use them as store rooms or broom closets. This blog exists to find the offenders and out them, inform them, and report them if necessary and shame them into doing the right thing when all else fails.
