Mayor diblasio has been having news conferences and puffing out his chest about his first snow storm, cracking jokes about how his son had to get up early to shovel and he kept repeating he was enforcing his “no tail of two cities” in his administration.
Yes all the roads were ploughed and most buildings had their stoops shoveled, but did anyone look where the now ploughed from the road piled up?
Well it piled up all along 4th street Brooklyn between the Barclay center and degraw three feet high on the sidewalk cutouts, otherwise known as the wheelchair ramps.
Check out the disgusting pics too and from the Atlantic pacific subway stop and 575 degraw st down fourth to Brooklyn Boulders.
the one below shows yes you can cross there is just a 6 foot wide 2-3 foot deep snow pile preventing you completing it across the street
the one below someone shovelled right next to the ramp with a 6-8 inch drop of but the ramp had almost a foot of snow on it.
the one below shows snow over the crosswalk the snow is on top of ice with 6 inches of water below it
Now I did say most cleared their sidewalk but one question ,In front of building sites who makes them safe?
And is there a minimum they have to clear because degraw is very wide when it comes to side walks but all they cleared was the metal lids to the basement.
It’s hard enough in a wheelchair but add snow and lazy ass supers and what do you get MIA relying on the kindness of strangers
and Zeus pushing from behind.
