Kenny Bass, Founder and Executive Director of The Battle Buddy Foundation, (an organization working to pair veterans with service dogs at NO COST) is still working to finish the fundraising for his own personal PTSD service dog, Atlas. While going through the process of working to get a service dog for himself to help mitigate the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress, and the physical complications of Behcet’s Disease, Kenny realized the need for an organization that would ‘fill the gaps’ and help other veterans get the assistance they need, without needing to work themselves to raise the thousands of dollars for a service dog on their own. Kenny’s focus and energies have been so focused on building The Battle Buddy Foundation, to serve other veterans, that his own fundraising for Atlas has fallen by the wayside. We are here to support Atlas and Kenny, and help them continue their work to serve others! I am a disabled woman who through no fault of my own has wheels under my ass. I rely on the decency and common sense of local, state and federal goverments, as well as the retail community to abide by the disabled access laws and provide adequate ramps, disabled toilets, and not use them as store rooms or broom closets. This blog exists to find the offenders and out them, inform them, and report them if necessary and shame them into doing the right thing when all else fails.
