MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. –
According to police a Myrtle Beach Intermediate School teacher was arrested Thursday after she put soap in an autistic child’s mouth and struck the child with a dustpan.

Moncille Thomas of North Myrtle Beach was charged with Unlawful Neglect of a Child.

According to a Myrtle Beach Police report, officers responded to the school on Thursday in reference to a call of an alleged assault.

Through further investigation, a witness advised that Thomas placed dish detergent on her fingers and then placed her fingers in the victim’s mouth in order to discipline the child for spitting.

The report states Thomas then struck the victim with a dustpan twice in the chest area.

Police say the victim is a non-verbal autistic special need child.

Thomas was released on a $20,000 PR bond on Friday

I rely on the decency and common sense of local, state and federal goverments, as well as the retail community to abide by the disabled access laws and provide adequate ramps, disabled toilets, and not use them as store rooms or broom closets. This blog exists to find the offenders and out them, inform them, and report them if necessary and shame them into doing the right thing when all else fails.
