Yesterday In Union square Manhattan the History channel did a promotion for their hit show mountain men, as part of it Brooklyn boulders brought their mobile rockwall and their crew led by the incomparable Stephanie in very short order after arriving stephanie and her crew had the trailer mounted hydraulic operated wall in position upright safe and ready to climb on.

After the crew had all climbed the wall a dozen times to secure banners and fake creeprs to make the wall look real I was the first non staff to climb. The wall was great it was like climbing inside but the wall was shaped like a real cliff and you had the realistic effect of the wind in your hair as if you were on a real cliff face. The day was a huge success I climbed four times in the morning and had the plan to climb again later when it got quiet but stephanie and her crew ran the show so well it never got quiet it never slowed down and thanks to amazing fun and pro Bk boulders staff a large crowd was introduced to climbing and the day was a huge success.

The officials at History channel ran a good show , it is always funny to hear the comments when the para climbs from the chair to the top, but I thought it was important to have a para climber present to represent the group and hard work done by adaptive climbers everywhere, I had a great time then again give me a wall and I will climb anywhere.

I am a disabled woman who through no fault of my own has wheels under my ass. I rely on the decency and common sense of local, state and federal goverments, as well as the retail community to abide by the disabled access laws and provide adequate ramps, disabled toilets, and not use them as store rooms or broom closets. This blog exists to find the offenders and out them, inform them, and report them if necessary and shame them into doing the right thing when all else fails.
