Frank Zsemlye was charged Monday with multiple counts of committing lewd acts on a child, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.
He’s accused of following a 13-year-old girl and her 7-year-old sister into the womens restroom at Modjeska Park in Anaheim on July 19.
Prosecutors say he pulled the 13-year-old girl into a stall, covered her mouth and groped various parts of her body over her clothes.
When the girl screamed, Zsemlye allegedly attempted to flee.
Bystanders chased him down and called 911.
Zsemyle was arrested near the park by officers from the Anaheim Police Department.
He is charged with one count of lewd acts on a child under 14, one count of forcible lewd acts on a child under 14 and one count of assault on a minor with the intent to commit lewd acts on a child under 14, with a sentencing enhancement allegation for child molestation committed in the commission of a burglary.
Prosecutors are seeking $1 million bail.
If convicted, Zsemlye faces 15 years to life in state prison, according to the statement from the D.A.’s office
