When Will the Law Stop Giving Greater Rights To The Predators That They Do To Their Prey, Innocent Children?

Youth worker arrested for alleged exposure to child

NEW YORK (WABC) — There was a sigh of relief along West 120th Street in Harlem after news that a suspected child predator has been caught.

“I am so glad that they caught this guy. He doesn’t need to be out here,” said Harold Lilly, a parent.

Police arrested 41-year-old Andrew McFall and charged him with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.

They believe he’s the man seen in security camera video after exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl last month, not far from several schools.

“Great job by the police department. That’s what we need out here. To protect our children,” Lilly said.

What makes McFall’s alleged crime especially egregious is his long history as a youth services worker.

He worked for the last six months with the City of New York’s Department of Youth and Community Development.

A spokeswoman said, “The employee was immediately placed on leave without pay pending the results of this process. In his role, he was a manager of a call line and did not work directly with children.”

Before that, McFall held an administrative position at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club where the executive director confirmed to Eyewitness News he was terminated after a co-worker made “serious accusations against him.”

“Yes, I did here about it, and yes there are lots of small children in the building,” said Sandra Hubbard, a neighbor.

At McFall’s Riverdale apartment building, the charges against him both stunned and worried his neighbors.

Some are now questioning the safety of a place they’ve always considered “family friendly”.

“I worry about it. My children are grown up. Once and a while, I have my grandchildren visit. So, sure it concerns me,” said Dennis Gultz, a neighbor

Mia’s Thoughts

American Police arrested 41-year-old Andrew McFall and charged him with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.

The headline above is the final act in a scary few weeks for the residents of Harlem New York; a well-dressed African American man had been seen leaving the area after exposing himself to a scared 11 year old girl.

It didn’t take long to find the man from the clear view of his face in the video; he was the manager of a hotline for Children’s services! Yes he was employed by the city to be a protector of children, there was a fox in the henhouse. I wish it was as simple as a good guy gone bad, but upon looking it became apparent to the Police this monster was a repeat offender. He had been fired from the Kipps Bay New York, Boys and Girls club for accusations of child molestation, serious enough accusations that  he was let go without reference but they didn’t think to let authorities know of their suspicions so he was able to keep his supposed service to children on his resume and get a new job even closer to his prey with the actual government department that cares for victims of monsters, Just like him.

You see the monster had rights, the boys and girls club could be taken to court for defamation if they simply told the truth and protected future children especially this innocent 11 year old his latest victim.

When will this bullshit stop? When will monsters stop being served children ala-carte up on a plate in front of them by the ridiculous laws that make it impossible for good people to the right thing. when will the laws change to allow decent people to  warn future employers and families of the threat in the midst of their community and in an employer’s case sitting across a desk asking to be trusted with the care of what is in most cases already abused children?.

Why it is children, their parents and caring adults can’t be the decent people they were born to be because a paedophile has the right to employment? What about a child’s right to grow up innocent?

Until we stop this insidious behaviour, we may as well just give children catalogue numbers and let the monsters choose their meal.

  1. My cousin lost his job as a school principal in the mid 1990s because one of his teachers sent a fax to the school where their former Deputy Principal had been transferred after he had been caught behaving sexually inappropriately toward an 11 year old on a school camp. It has gone on too long. It took my cousin 8 years to win is case against the education department and he Deputy taught through the whole mess until retirement. No, he was never caught doing anything inappropriate again, but people who do it once never get over the urge and who knows what happened that he wasn’t caught for. And he was never punished. He should NEVER have been allowed near a student again!

On the other hand, another colleague was accused by someone he had failed on an exam for cheating 30 years before. It was investigated by the police and found to be an unfounded and convenient lie (and believe me, the cops were THOROUGH!), but the Ed dept wouldn’t reinstate him. He had to take them to the Industrial Relations Court.

So maybe it’s the inconsistency that I hate as much as anything…

    • It’s terrible when a innocent person is tarred with the same brush and assumed guilty, but I say let them appeal, thats what courts are for. It’s never right when the innocent are accused but its worse when just 1 child is molested the adult can get a job the child can never get there innocence back. I would rather have 1,000 innocent people wrongly accused than let one monster through the net. How many children molested is too many ? 1 just 1. this guy was caught on video, identified by the child in his former job he was seen by many it was just the union involved had the rules wrapped up so tight the proper. so twisted rules allowed a child molestor to not only get away but be reemployed in another child rich enviroment.
